Requiem for a Coffee Mug

It's finally happened. I knew this day would come, but naively hoped it never would. My coffee mug is broken. You remember the one. It was perfect in every way. I'm really distraught about this right now. It's like I lost a friend. For years it's been a permanent fixture in my life. I can say with certainty I've never put my lips on anything as many times as I had with that coffee mug. I don't know what to do with myself now. I'm currently drinking out of a ceramic mug with my companies logo and every drink is like a dagger in my heart. The worst part is that no matter how hard I look I doubt I'll ever find another as good as what I had. I have to end this before I start crying. I just need to try to remember the good times.

A ceremony will be held by the tracks this evening at 5:30. Feel free to come by and pay your respects. The service won't be long since I have a previously scheduled engagement with Girl Talk.

RIP Jack Horkheimer

I was at home last night watching a little Red Green Show. Now Red's on between 10 and 11 on channel 12 and after each episode they play the short "Jack Horkheimer: Star Gazer". I was shocked last night to see that it wasn't Jack! Jack passed away last month. This is a tragic loss to the astronomy community and to star gazers, young and old, around the country. The new guy just isn't the same but I'm hopeful that in time he will come to be. It's hard to best Jack though. So to Mr Horkheimer, I bid you farewell and wherever you are I'm sure that you'll "keep looking up".

A Tribute to the King of Pop: Michael Jackson 1958-2009

I felt like I should do something to commemorate the life of Michael Jackson. I wasn't sure exactly what. Maybe a youtube montage. Maybe a collage of pics from his life. And then I remembered...the Jackson shirt. These pictures are from a house warming party back when Nathan and Morgan were reppin' the hill.
