Mubarak: That bitch is done

Hopefully you all realize now this isn't just a little unrest and things are going to settle down and return to normal. My heart goes out to the people of Egypt, their courage and determination should be an inspiration to all of us.

Here's a collection of quotes I've seen over the last couple weeks that I think are apt:

"Freedom is never voluntarily given by the oppressor, it must be demanded by the oppressed"
- Martin Luther King, Jr.

"In the truest sense, freedom cannot be bestowed; it must be achieved."
- Franklin D. Roosevelt

"The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion."
-Albert Camus

"Man is free at the moment he wishes to be."
-Voltaire.

When other people start blogging it makes me feel like I should do it more

Friend of mine out in Maine started up a blog the other day. You all should check it out. Good stuff.

In the same vein, here's a pic I took of the sunset along the Oregon coast last May. I actually wish I was there right now.

In our time apart

Many things have happened.

First up we had Swirly's birthday party. Great success. We did a theme, Heroes vs Villains. Won't be doing a theme party for a long while (too much prep) but it turned out really well. Here's some shots:

Snake Bite and Medusa

Ice Man
Black Out and Cheney
This pretty much explains it all

Just so that everyone is clear. I support the people of Egypt 100%. It pleases me to see that things are changing, however not quickly enough.

Booked the trip to Vegas for the middle of April. Insanity is bound to ensue.

There's a new blog. SODO Slander. Set it up to document the happenings around the space. You should check it out. One of the first post is the video I promised months ago of my directorial debut "The Bathroom Tapes" (albeit a wasted debut). More nonsense to come.

I'm sure there's more but that's all for now...
